Weaving Futures Collective is a global intercultural network building alliances between Indigenous communities, mobilising resources, and supporting self-determined solutions for the health of territories and the peoples who care for them.

The Weaving Futures Together Indigenous Peoples’ Knowledge Fair
In September 2025, 42 Indigenous delegates from 12 countries gathered across Namibia for 14 days. They came from the Arhuaco (Colombia), Blackfoot Piikani (Canada), Damara/Nama (Namibia), Ju/'hoansi San (Namibia), !Kung (South Africa), Maasai (Kenya, Tanzania), Mapuche (Chile), OvaHimba (Namibia), Penan (Malaysia), Q'ero (Peru), Qulla (Argentina), Rarámuri (Mexico), Topnaar (Namibia), Otomi-Toltec (Mexico), Tukano (Brazil), and Wixarika (Mexico) peoples. They moved together through Indigenous territories, shared ceremonies and knowledge, named shared struggles, and left with lasting relationships and a genuine sense of collective strength.
The gathering produced a collective Manifesto, formally presented to Namibia's Vice President; and an active global network still in contact today.
The Work
Our work is rooted in long-term relationships built through deep listening, sustained presence, and trust earned over time. It moves from a place of reverence and respect for the territories and communities we step into, and their ancestral guides and guardians.

Gathering
Creating the conditions for Indigenous communities and leaders to meet one another directly. In gathering, we seek to create the space where communities may connect, recognise their shared struggles as structural rather than isolated, and build the solidarity that becomes strategy. Our next gathering is already being called into being.

Resourcing
Flowing resources toward communities on terms that honour their self-determination. Connecting philanthropists and foundations with community-defined funds and projects.
Providing legal expertise, professional skills, networks, advocacy connections, and on-the-ground support that communities have identified as priorities.

Storytelling
Ensuring that the stories of the communities we work with are heard. Amplifying what communities choose to share: their struggles and their resistance, their beauty, their knowledge and their joy. Through storytelling, we build the connections and relationships that sustain the work.
